On Friday November 22nd, 2024 a coyote was spotted on Nyac Avenue near the high school. Luckily by the end of the day the coyote no longer posed a significant threat to the school community but it is interesting to see a coyote roaming around Pelham. This should be taken into account as this may not be the last time we see a coyote in the area. People should be aware that coyotes, while harmless, should not be pet as they are wild animals.
